The customer service ethic has gone

I recently purchased a Raztech tempered glass screen guard from Takealot. Shortly after receiving the item I wrote a very negative review, as the item has characteristics that ruin the excellent graphics quality of modern smart phone screens.

This review was not published by Takealot. When I enquired about this, they stated that, even though the functionality is available on their site, they are unable to publish reviews on items sold by third parties only. Upon giving them an example of a published review, on Takealot, of an item only sold by a third party, they still insisted that they are unable to do the very thing I sent them a screen shot of.

The item has since cracked for no reason - no fall of the phone and no impact, after less than two months of ownership. It is just truly inferior quality. Following this I initiated a return, which was declined - so Takealot essentially expects a R350 tempered glass screen cover to last less than two months.

Not only has their erstwhile customer service ethic clearly lapsed, they are also now proudly selling very poor quality products. Well done, you've lost a customer with a history of almost 80 orders.
