Terrible service

On 25 November I ordered and paid for R2159 worth of items, after MANY phonecalls to Takealot agents and managers I was informed that the R1400 Xmas tree discounted down to R850 was out of stock and there was no option but to refund the money. I subsequently bought the same tree for R1699 from their compeditors. This conversation took place on 09 December, two weeks after I paid for the items and still hadn't received any notifications by mail or phone. Manager Ronel de Jaager told me on 09 December that she would phone me on Monday, but that didn't happen. On that Monday I received, some of the order. One item was missing and another badly damaged. I've made it clear to the Takealot staff that I had a holiday booked that will have to be postponed because there is a Christmas gift still currently outstanding from the offer. Luke Cloete says that it will be delivered today, Wednesday 14 December "but can't make any promises".

On 28 November I purchased another two items, one arrived on the 1st and the other arrived more than a weeks later after many phonecalls.

Your customer service is incredibly poor and I have been prejudiced by the fact that you clearly don't have systems in place that track the availability of stock (costing me over R1000 because two weeks after black Friday I'm told that you don't have stock and I've had to postpone a holiday because the item that should have been delivered two weeks ago "may" just arrive today.)

After I asked Takealot for compensation, R200 was offered even though I've spent more on phonecalls to Takealot because their staff simply do not call even though they say they will. When I ask to speak to a manager I'm told that staff cannot give out "Leanne's" surname, email address or office number even though she is the head of customer service! I have spent ten's of thousands of Rands with Takealot over the last two years and you are about to lose a customer!
