Terrible experience with Takealot. I had a very disappointing experience with Takealot.

I ordered a bedding set that was supposed to include 2 duvets and 4 pillows, but the package I received was missing 1 duvet inner and all 4 pillow inners.

When I contacted customer service, instead of checking their dispatch records or verifying the shipment weight, they insisted that I return the entire item for inspection. This is extremely inconvenient, especially considering that Cape Town is getting colder and I am already using the blanket.

It is unreasonable to expect customers to return essential items before even investigating a possible packing error. I am simply asking for the missing items to be resent.

Very poor handling of a straightforward issue. I expected much better from such a large platform.

I am extremely disappointed with Takealot’s review system. I tried to leave an honest review about my order, which included missing items and poor customer service, but my review was rejected without explanation. Suppressing genuine customer feedback is unacceptable and shows a lack of transparency. Customers have the right to share their experiences, both positive and negative, to help other buyers make informed decisions. I urge Takealot to allow honest reviews to be posted and to address my original complaint regarding the missing items in my order.
