Terrible experience. Better to buy things in person these days

I ordered a portable air conditioner from takealot. It's a 12000 BTU. I unboxed the device and I wasn't happy with the performance since I've owned similar devices before. They scheduled a return , few days later declined to replace it saying everything is working as should.

I was okay with it being returned since that meant there's nothing to worry about, maybe i had not use it long enough. Upon the item being returned it had scratches all over, marks which were black,dust and really deep stains that don't come off as if it had been rocking back and forth in the takealot delivery truck.

The great part is when it was picked up, pictures were taken by the driver to prove it was picked up brand new. Now takealot refuses to take responsibility for the damages caused by their employees.

Im now very upset being someone who ha spent over R100 000 on their products.

I demand a replacement or refund.
