Terrible

I shared previously that i bought what was advertised a 15" laptop bags from them (Vintage Three-Piece Laptop Backpack Set with USB Charging Port - Blue - Black) and because they were.meant as Christmas gifts. They were only opened on the 25th of Dec (though collected from Take-ALot around 28Nov. When I subseqiently realised they couldnt for a 15" laptop, i reached out to TakeALot on/about 28Dec.i was advised to return them. Coupke of days afyer returning them, TakeALot rejects my return, citing (as a.reason) that they were returned later than the 30day period allpwed for. After numerous emails and calls to take a lot, matyer remained unresolved. I refered the matter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud. This morning I received a response from that office wifh TakeALot still rejecting my return. Interestingly, this tkme around, the reason is different. Apparently, thsy rejected my return because it was not returned in the sealed state i received it. My question. How would I have known that the product doesnt fir if I had not opened it? Secondly, TaleALot is lying becuase the items are still (7 months later) sitting in the exact same box they came in, plastic bags and all. Can someone from TakeALot explain to me "Why would the reject reaskns be different when two different people are asking?" Is this a sign of their discourteous attitide that I experienced in the initial stages of this transaction?
