Telephonic discount given not honoured

In January 2016 there was a system error that resulted in delays, numerous emails and numerous phonecalls. One of the many people spoken to offered a discount but the payment had already gone through. I was then told I would receive a discount on the next purchase.

Telephone calls and emails with Takealot.com this morning have resulted in a very polite decline of giving a discount as there is "nothing on email and nothing on your profile".

The takealot.com team did phone (2x different people) but the one was not aware of the other - no record. I was advised they would respond before 5pm (end of shift for the second person who called). I agreed to this and advised I require my order quite urgenlty and want to place and pay for it on Friday so it can be delivered early in the week.
This morning I see a written response on Hellopeter advising it will now be Monday.
This is exactly the same runaround I received previously.
As discussed with the second caller, I requested the discount based on a half remembered telephone conversation. The email I received declined it as there was no written record. Only AFTER publishing on Hellopeter did the team decide to review / listen to the telephone conversations. This should have been done immediately.
