TAURUS jug blender not repaired.

After 6 months of using it, our TAURUS Triton Jug blender started having some noise and motion issues. We decided to send it back to takealot (as it had a 2 year warrantee) with the malfunction description being in the lines of 'strange noise and blending mechanical difficulties' (even though we only blend soft fruits). So we sent it into Takealot.com for repairs and told them what the problem was. Yet in the end it then took them more than one month to get back to us (therefor more than 21 working days - after which they originally promised us to replace it) only to say exactly what we told them - that the blade was bent. Nothing more than a small observation which we wrote to them on day one. And now they want us to pay an extra amount in order to repair the blender. Why does a product have a warrantee if any fault makes it invalid?
