Takelot.com flaunting legal rights of customers to returns for faulty merchandise.
I ordered an electronic product (Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ Bluetooth 4 OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner for iOS & Android) from takealot.com. Due to motor plane restrictions I was told that I had to wait for 5 weeks for the motor plan to expire before I could use this in my BMW M2. When I used it for the first time it didn’t work so I sent it back to Takealot.com. They then sent me an email to tell me that I would not be refunded because they can’t refund me for not wanting the item, ( this is despite the fact that the return option clearly stated that it’s a return due to defective merchandise) The clerk at Takealot.com by the name of Yoland.MKA clearly did not even bother to read the return reason. This is not caught up in a never ending to and fro of emails with no endpoint in sight. Takealot.com this is disgraceful conduct. How can customers feel safe buying merchandise from you when you refuse to refund for faulty product and you create insurmountable hoops in the way of speaking to a person with enough intelligence to interpret return reasons correctly.
