Takelot.com and RT Systems honor a warranty

A while ago I was at the point where I believed Takealot. Com's warranty was incorrectly worded for certain items. I was right, however, takealot.com came to the rescue after quite a lengthy period. I am talking about a Sealed lead Acid UPS battery which had a warranty period of 11 months. This is no help when spending R2500 on a device that should easily last for 4-6 years. Mine faulted at 18 months. Now the interesting part was RT Systems in Johannesburg, sellers of this equipment and with whom Takealot.com dealt with. The CEO, Richard van der Heijden saw that I was quite capable, as an electrical engineer, of offering the technical specs which were not as correct and showing a failing battery. All credit to Richard and RT Systems who sell a multitude of this equipment, he immediately passed credit to Takealot.com asking them to do the same. We have returned the battery and received a full credit. Thank you takealot.com and will purchase a new unit. Well done all.
