Takelot.com

I bought a pedestal fan from Takealot.com on 1 October, of which there was available stock at the time. So i expected delivery within 3-4 days as per the usual delivery period.

When i tracked the parcel afterwards it showed that delivery would be today 9 October. But it also showed that the parcel has not been shipped. This confused me so i phoned the customer care department this morning. The lady informed me that on her side delivery will be on 12 October. Later today i received another email that delivery would be 22 October, and then another 1 to say that the order has been cancelled due to no stock available. I am not at all happy with this, i have wasted 8 days on waiting for a fan where i could have just gone into a shop to buy the item I am now waiting (again) for the money to be paid into my bank account.

And i need a fan desperately with this heat in Cape Town.
