Takelot refusing to return a defected item

Ive puchased a ps3 remote through takealot. A month later the remote is broken and now they tell me i must return the item to their supplier.

Its totally unacceptable, i have no contact with their supplier and my purchase was with takealot. Ive logged a ticket Re: Takealot | Return Logged | RRN-2950-e226 and days later they dont care to come back to me.

I will not purchase from them again if this is their return policy taking no accountability for selling a defected product.
