Takealot pathetic! Does not honour commitments - not all that it seems

<p>Worst experience and inconvenience ever!I was due to attend a camping trip in Friday and I ordered an item which was due to be delivered in 2 days(Friday). Weltevreden warehouse is 10 minutes away from my home.I was at home @ all times and had my phone with me at all times.To my shock I received an sms saying that takealot was unsuccessful in delivering item, despite no one pitching up or phoning me. I then phoned to enquire why no one arrived and why no one phoned me. Call centre agent phoned me back and got a hold of me immediately, claiming that the driver tried to phone me, yet there is no missed call on my phone and she was able to get a hold of me, yet the driver was strangely unable to get a hold of me. They also claim that they were at my home- then why did he not knock on the door because I was at home the entire time and there was someone else at home also. The delivery service is pathetic.the driver had no intention of delivering the item since it is Friday, he made no effort whatsoever and takealot/mr D Food just accepts the explanation.Imade the purchase because of the delivery date.The delivery date was the main reason for making the purchase.I was told the driver is no longer in the area but how is that my problem.what has The item is an essential for my camping trip and thanks to the driver i am *****ed. Please be weary of the delivery.The online ordering process might be straightforward but the delivery is pathetic and below par.</p>
