Takelot can not be trusted for quality products.

I ordered a pencil sharpener on 14 February 2026 from Takealot. I paid R264 (including delivery). On 17 February 2026, a broken product was delivered to me. I had to drive to the collection point to return it. On 19 February, I was informed that the product could not be replaced as there was no stock, and they credited my account with R189. I then requested a refund and was informed that I would receive the refund in 3-5 business days, depending on my bank's processing rules. I have lost the money that I paid for the delivery and will also have to pay my bank's processing fees. It is definitely not worth it for me as the customer to order any product from Takealot in the future. I will not trust this company ever again. This was a small order. What will happen if I order something more expensive? I will definitely not order from Takalot in future.
