Takelot Bunch of *****s

I purchased a TV just before the Christmas holidays and left this same TV in its sealed box to be installed when I returned on the 15th of January 2024. On opening the box on the 15th all looked good until the TV was switched on. The TV has lines and a large crack which is not visible when off. I immediately contacted the Takealot customer service desk who after backward and forward, sending emails and images only to be told that they don't cover this as they don't know how it was stored. No amount of explanation and an offer for affidavits to be sent from witnesses seems to appease them. I'm told that the goods should have been opened within 7 days of receipt to check. Even if I did it would have made zero difference as this item only shows signs of damage when switched on. To takelot, I won't be spending another cent with you!! Good luck to a bunch of *****s!!
