Takeaot dilute perfumes

I ordered a Viktor and Rolf cologne that I recieved and it was diluted with water. I sent it for a return but takealot declined stating that it has been used. My issue is how was I going to know the peoduct is defective if I did not spray it? I need answers and a refund for the big money paid for the cologne.
