Takealot's goods arrive mostly damaged or defective

Every other thing I order from Takealot is broken or damaged in some way, often clearly by warehouse staff or delivery people. A coffee table we ordered had a huge gouge out of it. The shelves we ordered had a huge gouge out of it that packing staff must have been blind to miss, yet it was packed that way anyway. Lights I ordered arrived shattered, one broken in half almost! I ordered two sets of xmas lights that were delivered yesterday - BOTH not working!! Two weeks ago I was told the warehouse manager would call me - I am still waiting. I am never buying from these people again - all they do is disappoint. And then they also ignore your preferred action and credited me instead of replacing the item, which I specifically listed as my preferred action - and the item was STILL IN STOCK, so they could have replaced it! And then there was the time last week when they sent me something I did not order instead of what I did order, and again did not replace when they still had in stock. Something has changed there and Takealot has turned from a great online shop to something totally useless that will only disappoint you. Rather buy from another online shop if you actually want what you ordered and in good condition!
