Takealot's Failure to deliver

I ordered an SSD drive from Takealot. Received the drive, plugged it in and tried to copy files to it. On first attempt to copy files, the copy failed and drive disconnected with the error message: Error 0x800701B1: A device which does not exist was specified. One the second attempt it copied files at 14.4 Mb/s not at the 6b/s per the specifications on Takealot's site. Attempted to return the drive and get a credit to my account, but was blocked from doing this by their customer service department(?) who declined the return as the package was opened. How the hell are you supposed to see whether something is working or not per provided specifications without opening the package and plugging the device in. This time at least, I've also screenshotted the error. After being a customer of takealot, since they were originally take2, they have managed to destroy a relationship in one easy step. Will never do business with them again.
