Takealot's chat bot = USELESS!!!!

I tried to log a return on takealot for an item (which became defective) which was purchased on 22 August 2022, with a 12 month warrantee. After 3 months the system tells me it is a non returnable item. When I queried it with takealot (please note you can not phone them any more) you have to communicate with their "chat bot". This chat bot keeps telling you to follow a process to log a return, but everytime it says the item is not returnable. I went through the process about 6 times with the same result. I have asked for a contact number to speak to someone about this, but the chat bot refused to give any numbers. They must either make the chat bot more effective or bring the human interaction back. At this stage it is totally useless to try and escalate issues with takealot. I have been a keep supporter of Takealot for many years with minimal issues. If they do not sort this out soon they are going to loose many customers....Which is sad because I enjoyed ordering stuff throuhg Takealot.
