TAKEALOTOFYOURMONEY - Ineffective, broken goods arrived, no replacement

I ordered some floor fans recently. They arrived in really disheveled boxes and had clearly been opened and re-taped multiple times... already a bad sign. 3 of the fans arrived broken. 2 of the fans were completely broken, the motors had snapped from their backing clearly due to mishandling. The third worked, although the plastic at the back was broken. I decided to keep the broken one because I need it, even though it should be returned as it is damaged. The other two could not be used - so I sent them back for replacement. I received an email saying that the supplier is out of stock and therefore they need to give me credit.

I sent an immediate reply saying that I had looked myself and here is the fan from the same supplier, there are 4 in stock at time of writing.

I received no follow up from Takealot customer care - I think it is entirely unacceptable that when there are 2 replacements available, they tell me they can only give me credit. I would like the replacement fans as I did not expect to receive broken merchandise. I really expect more from this company.
