Takealot.com taking us for a ride!

I purchased a new washing machine from Takealot.com (Order #***). After 1 wash, it stopped working. A technician sent by Takealot.com (***) a week later confirmed that the PC board is faulty. They (ref: MRRN-A7Q5R-YBB7) refused the return and say it is Pick n Pay's problem, not theirs, and I must take it up with some company in Pretoria that fixes faulty electrical products on behalf of Pick n Pay (I assume). So Takealot.com refuses to provide a new washing machine or give me a full refund. I will not accept that this new product will be fixed less than a week after purchase!
