Takealot.com- ridiculous and certainly unprofessional

I placed an order on takealot.com yesterday and my estimated delivery date was scheduled for Monday 12/03/18. I received a call from a delivery guy today at 10am stating that he was outside my house. I explained to him that I was not at home and asked if it could be rescheduled for later on today, he said no. I called the takealot.com contact number and they told me that I could reschedule for today. I received an sms stating that my delivery would arrive anytime between 12-5pm. I waited at home, although I had other errands to attend to. I called at least 4 times checking on the delivery status. At 3:30pm I received a call stating that the driver had left with my package. At 4:50pm I called and a lady told me that it's possible that the driver left but did not update his status therefore I didn't receive an sms. I called at 5:10pm and spoke to another lady. She said that their cut off time was at 5pm and they will not be delivering to me today. Being frustrated, from waiting the entire afternoon, I said I would cancel my order and she had processed it. She did not offer any other assistance. I called back asking to speak to a manager or anyone else who would be able to assist me. They put me on hold and after a long wait, told me that the manager would contact me. No manager has contacted me. I am very disappointed and will no longer be purchasing through takealot.com as online shopping should be convenient but this was inconvenient to me, as well as unprofessional.
