Takealot.com refuses to take back defective Mellerware Quantum Gas Heater

I bought a Mellerware - Quantum Foldable Gas Heater from takealot.com. The heater didn't work and I gave them the benefit of the doubt and exchanged the heater for another since I thought maybe the fault was with that specific one. This process happened smoothly and I was happy. Only to find out that even the newly exchanged heater did not work. Both heaters had the little light up but the panels never caught onto the flame and both time I articulated this. When I returned the second heater, takealot.com sent it to the manufacturer because they said it fell outside of their policy but was still within the manufacturer's warranty. After a week or two the manufacturer sent it back to me saying the heater was fine - they did this without my knowledge and also I has expressly said I no longer wanted the heater as it was my second time trying it out and that I wanted a refund. I checked and it still did not work. I was told to log a new complaint by takealot.com and when I did, they said there's nothing they can do because they heater was no longer within the warranty even though my initial logged complaint fell within the warranty. I'm sitting with a useless, defective gas heater in the middle of winter and no one is interested to help me, takealot.com or mellerware. What a complete disappointment and frustrating ordeal. And I still want my money BAC****!
