Takealot.com - poor after sales services, poor policy management, expensive

I purchased an expensive pair of Noise-Cancellation headphones through takealot.com, and unfortunately they became faulty. I proceeded and logged the defective unit with Takealot's on-line platform and qualified for a repair, the unit was dropped off at a takealot warehouse, it was repaired by the supplier but was returned to me more defective than the condition I dropped them off in.

Frustratingly I have been in back-and-forth communications with takealot for the last 3 months (every time with a new person) since I dropped the unit off which got 'repaired' and now fighting for my refund, which Takealot agreed to in principle.

The worst thing is that Takealot has a return policy which they cannot successfully or effectively manage and they have not attended to any of their own responsibilities they were responsible for during the return policy process after the units was dropped off. No communication from them, no updates and when 21-day 'no resolution' period ended, you automatically qualify for a refund, Takelot did not contact me either as their policy assured me.

I have send my 8th email this morning with no response from Takelot, no update regarding my refund or their commitment getting it resolved.

Its sad, that their sales service is extremely good when buying from them. I have purchased items from Takalot for years now without any issues, but their after sales service is incomparable with sales services - Day-and-night difference.

lastly, not only do we have to deal with their horrible after sales services, but some products sold on takealot is more expensive than what they are in the retails shops - defying the purpose of an online retailer.

I do hope to get my issue resolved with Takealot and will definitely reconsider using them in the future again.
