TAKEALOT.COM DOESN'T WANT NEW BUSINESS
It seems Takealot.com has enough suppliers and doesn't want any new business.
On 12 July we registered on the Takealot.com website as a seller. After this, we phoned the Takealot.com call centre numerous times to get more specific details of how storage at their warehouses work and how it is calculated so we can do our planning for selling our products on their site. Nobody at the Takealot.com call centre is trained to assist us with our enquiry and escalated our enquiry to another department. We also keep sending emails to Takealot.com, and if we are lucky to get a reply, they just say that someone will get back to us shortly (their turnaround time is 2-12 working hours), but to date (three weeks thereafter) nobody from Takealot.com has made contact with us.
E.g. On 16 July, after enquiring numerous times, Takealot.com sent me an email saying that an email will be sent to me with the relevant details, which I haven't received to date. On 17 July we received the following email: "You are already on our "potential seller" list, one of our sales managers will contact you shortly and will clear up any questions you may have." We are still waiting for the manager to phone us too.
We cannot believe that such a big brand can deliver such poor/no service. I have never experienced such bad service before.
