Takealot.com defective products

I ordered a complete weir from takealot.com, the weir arrived in a plastic packet without a box. I order other items as well that were packaged in boxes. On inspection I noticed that the weir had no seal or cover which is required for a fibreglass pool which I am yet to install. I immediately logged a return and it was collected by a takealot delivery guy. I received a message to say that the return arrived at the warehouse which would take 2-3 working days. Two days later I went to track the status of the order and noticed that the return had been declined. After I called to follow up I was informed that the weir had been damaged. To my knowledge It was not damaged when I received it or when I handed it over to the delivery guy, who knows what happened in between but now I the customer have to feel the loss on my pocket? I've spent thousands on Takelot purchases but after this experience I will not recommend that anyone buy goods from this company. Disappointed to say the least, I expect a lot better service than this. They say if you buy cheap that you buy twice, it applies in this case I thought I was getting a good deal but now I'm sitting with the wrong and defective product. Now I have to buy another weir and it certainly won't be from Takealot.
