TAKEALOT.com Damaged goods and blamed us
We have bought from TAKEALOT.com before and was very impressed with service until now. Bought a GPS watch 24 July and watch was delivered on 4 Aug. Gave it as present to my son on 6 Aug to find out that it is not working, faulty, no power, display nothing. Tried charging, still nothing.
Logged it with TAKEALOT.com who responded and said they will come collect it. (No further instructions). They collected it 11 Aug, driver took it and left, no paperwork or nothing.
They said they don't have stock to replace it but they will credit our account. 16 Aug they inform us that it is damaged and they will not credit us. We explained it was not damaged when driver left with it but they refused to accept it. They asked did we take photos and no we didn't because it is the first time this happened so we didn't know we should. They did not inform us on this either when we logged the return, they just mentioned they will collect.
Now they sent it back to us and I can see the damage which was not like this at all when it left our house. I also smell glue when opened box when they sent it back so perhaps it got damaged during transit and tried fixing it with glue of some sort. This is not our fault and feel our rights have been violated by TAKEALOT.com.
We paid almost R400 and it was faulty in the first place and now they blaming it on us when it could of been damaged in transit.
