TAKEALOT - WORST COMPANY EVER

What a disappointment of a company. I normally look up to & admire big companies like this but if i was the owner of takealot i will want to make some serious improvements. I compare takealot to big companies like amazon. But if you look at the service you might be very dissapointed.

I dont normally complain. It will takes a lot from me to write a review like this but I am sad and angry at takealot. This is 3 reasons why. Where nr 3 will be the reason that makes me most angry/dissapointed.

1. Prices that they lie about: I have a huge Takelot "like" list of things i still want to buy. I buy every month something to make my list smaller. I check out that prices every but honesty and ingegrity is not part of takealots policy. They will increase prices after it was lower for a couple of weeks l and then they say you save a certain % and the price was x amount (much higher) but not true. Lying is ons of their main features. Maybe just business but no integrity and totally dishonest. This will ruin a reputationin the long run.

2. I owned a specific tv box. I love this box and decided to give it to my parents to enjoy the rugby world cup. My plan was to buy a same new one at takealot. I searched for it and found it on the takealot app. I ordered it and they send me the wrong package after a couple of weeks. I was dissapointed but accepted it. I returned the package. I reordered the correct package again and waited for the package. Frustrated, that I'm going to miss the start of the world cup. TAKEALOT delivered the re-order, just to realised that again the wrong package was delivered.... 2 times same mistake how is that possible. I phoned and complained. This was unacceptable. I was not going to oder again. Then i had to make additional arrangements to see the world cup in time. I send back the package and they credited my account for the second time. I then bought the correct tv box from Matrix. And i was more than happy.

3. So i had my credits in my takealot account for about 2 or 3 months not wanted to buy from Takealot again. Lets call it my cool down period. I decided to use my credits and buy my 10 year old a tv and bracket from takealot. My son was really excited as takealot said they will deliver on friday. He could not even sleep as he said he can't waited for his TV. Friday came and nothing was delivered as promised on app. I phoned and asked head office on whats going on. They moved it to saturday for delivery. I accepted and explained to my 10 year old and very dissapointed son that takealot promised to deliver on saturday. i gave him reason to wipe his tears and wait another day. Saturday came and they delivered.... only the tv bracket.... no TV??? The driver said the TV was still at warehouse as there was not enough space in delivery van.... i said ok it's fine then and I had to expain to my son once again, I told my dissapointed son what the situation was. He was sad... and dissapointed in this company that call themselves TAKEALOT. The driver said he promise to deliver sunday. Sunday came and we saw Takelot delivered my neigbours package. We asked the driver if he had our package that they promised to deliver today.... they said its still at the warehouse.... i checked my app. It said all was deliverd on saturday. So i cannot even track where the TV was. My son was in tears as he didnt even sleep enough because how excited he was once again to recieve his gift.... he got dissapointed once again. At the moment he is sleeping. He cried himself to sleep as he realise that TAKEALOT is just one big dissapointment of a company. And i dont even blame him as im also so negative about this company.

I contacted head office and explained the situation. She said she will contact the warehouse and call me back.... once again a couple of hours passed... she didn't come back to me.... i rest my case. Takealot are officially the worst company i came across in my 41 years on earth, causing tears and dissapointment ( especially to kids thats supposed to be takealots future customers ).

My girlfriend phoned the delivey guy that delivered the tv bracket on saturday and asked him where the TV is (as he promised to deliver it on.) He said he had an emergency and that they will deliver tomorrow .....

This is my experience with TAKEALOT and why i dont trust them or like them anymore? I will be ashamed to be part of them. I am dired of their excuses and disapointing service.
