Takealot wont refund boxing gloves.

Recently I purchased a pair of Ligume boxing gloves (Technical Double Cuff Leather Gloves - White - Ligum Fight Gear) from Takealot priced at R1199.

The gloves tore open on the side next to the stitching around 2 months after my purchase. I immediately logged a return and it was picked up the next day. After several days I was informed that my product would not be returned, as it was damaged and wear and tear does not cover the warrantee. I explained that boxing gloves are meant to take a beating.

They accused me of not taking care of the product. The manufacturer said that they cannot get involved with the dealings of Takealot.

The gloves are made for boxing, but they are not able to do what they are made for. Takealot is currently refusing to refund the order.
