Takealot warranty is a ****!!

Hi bought a phillips iron on takealot a while back and last week while I was using it, it just went cold. It is still under warranty so I returned it. I got a response that the iron has visible damage and they sent a picture of the scorch marks on it. They refer to scorch marks as visible damage. I sent an email explaining that it is not damage but rather scorch marks but before they responded they sent the iron back the went on to apologies that they cannot accommodate the return and make an exception, I then sent another email that I don't want an exception I want the warranty to take its cause. They didn't even bother to open the iron and assess it, only only evaluated the scorch marks and referred to them as rust.
