Takealot warranty ****

I purchased headphones from Takealot 3-4 months ago for over R2000. Throughout the months I noticed a slight creak sound when listening to music but I assumed it was a minor software issue and ignored it. Recently discovered that the creak was actually a crack in one of the arms and after taking it off my head, it cracked more. This product has 12 month warranty and considering its been way less than 6 months I contact takealot for a return but I've been told by 3 different at takealot that the warranty apparently doesn't cover faulty products. Extremely upsetting. I'm in the process of trying to open up a SAPS case and I have contacted the CGSO.
