Takealot - *****ulent selling used books as new

Like many South Africans, I have spent a LOT of money with Takealot. Not because their prices were better, but because of the convenience.

Recently however I ordered four books. They were listed as new and I paid the new price which was the same as buying them new from Exclusive Books. HOWEVER, I received four used books. As an avid reader and having bought the first three books in the series from Exclusive Books, the four books I received from Takealot were USED. To make matters worse, even though I contacted Takealot immediately upon receiving the books and having sent them pictures, I cannot return them.

So in essence, Takealot can *****ulently sell second hand books as new and the buyer has zero recourse.
