Takealot to big to care about customer service

I've been a loyal Takealot customer for years. And I spend a lot of money with them regularly. That's why this year's Christmas experience has been such a shock. It's like they've grown too big to care about customer service anymore.

I ordered my Christmas presents on 11 December - well in time for Christmas and still checked that they would arrive just before Christmas, then they updated the delivery date so that my presents will arrive after Christmas.

I'm travelling just after Christmas and won't be home for 3 weeks so I got in touch to tell them this. They refuse to assist me in any way. They won't let me rather collect the order, ship it to another address or cancel the order. They insist on delivering the order to my house, where I won't be on 27 December. Now, knowing their drivers that means the electronic equipment I ordered will probably either get delivered to someone that isn't me or thrown in my garden for my dogs to eat. No matter what I do, they refuse to do anything to keep this from happening. I am so frustrated.
