Takealot, the worst Online Experience

<p>This December I decided to make use of online shopping to buy my Christmas presents. Knowing that they could experience high volumes I ordered my goods on the 7th and I made sure all items is in stock, even changed a few items that was not in stock to avoid any delays. The promised delivered date was the 15th. This was all fine as I wanted to leave on holiday by the 20th.</p> <p>On the 12th takelot let me know there is a delay with one of the products. So they did some false adverti*****t on what they have in stock. And changed the new delivery date to the 29th but they say in the mail that it should take 4-6 days to resolve. This is was still fine since I then should get my goods by the 18th, still in time for my holiday trip.</p> <p>On the 19th I get an SMS stating that I will have my goods before end of day via a courier company called Fast and furious. They never showed up that day! I postponed my holiday departure date(20th) hoping I will get my goods. Again they did not show up. I decided to leave on holiday but request a change of address to my holiday destination with one of takealot’s consultants Henrica Diergart.</p> <p>I informed them that I need the parcel before Christmas as myself and other family members are leaving on the 26th.</p> <p>I could not get any confirmation that this will be done and I spend hours on the phone going from one consultant to the next getting no proper answers on what is going on and will I get my goods. They all pretend that they want and will assist you but they never return a call even if they promised you they would.</p> <p>On the 23rd the courier company (Fast and furious) phones me: we would just like to confirmed that the order was cancelled,,,, How pathetic, I informed them that no it was moved to a new address. They asked me what is the address as if they never received any communication from takealot(this I can believe if I look at how *********** there staff is when it comes to doing basic task.)</p> <p>Now they are sitting with my money and parcel(Christmas gifts). It is the 23rd and I have no way of getting new presents. Their moto is just a moto and nothing more, because nobody will be smiling in my house on Christmas.</p> <p>I buy from multiple online suppliers and I would not recommend buying Takealot for the following reasons:</p> <p>-False adverti*****t on what they have in stock and by when you will receive it.<br />-*********** staff that cannot resolve simple tasks. They pretend to help you but then do nothing and gif no feedback.<br />-They make use of courier companies(Fast and Furious) that cannot deliver on time and it seems that there is no clear communication between takealot and they courier chain</p>
