Takealot Taking Your Money and Not Delivering Items

I recently purchased a pair of trail shoes on a limited special on takealot, this was for my wifes birthday. I ordered the shoes along with a few other items over a week ago, and when the package arrived today it was open, and the shoes were not in main box. I queried this with Takealot and was told that there was a "packing error" and that sorry these shoes were now out of stock and the best they can do is refund me. My wifes birthday is tomorrow, and takealot had over a week to know there was no stock. Further to this, they refuse to refund me the actual price of the shoes, as this is now whats its going to cost to replace them. The customer service is a joke, the response I get is just "sorry theres nothing we can do about it". NO attempt to help me or make it better, even though this is all thier fault, im left with the problem. Personally I cant wait for Amazon to launch in Cape Town.
