Takealot takes no responsibility for garbage

I've made purchases off Takelot before and didn't really have a problem until I ordered a new laptop charger. First I used a premium account trial to get my delivery the following day only to have them tell me it would come a week later, on what would be the standard delivery date. When I complained they made some lame excuse, but did actually deliver it two days later. Within a few weeks the charger started playing up where I'd have to try and move the charger into different positions to get it to work, so I logged a return. I tried to charge my laptop overnight only to see the next morning that on both ends of the charger cable the plastic had separated exposing the wires inside. When they collected it I got an email to say that it showed user damage so the warranty is void and they won't replace it. I had the charger for a month and used it the same way any human with a laptop would use a charger. If it had been a decent product the plastic wouldn't have pulled away within a month.

They kept responding with generic emails about warranties, claiming they'd "carefully reviewed" my complaints as well as the products. They reviewed nothing. I've worked in customer service before, and I can pretty much guarantee that some guy in a warehouse just took a photo of the perceived damage and some other guy in a booth searched for a generic reply to send to me so that they don't have to take any responsibility for selling me a defective product.

All takealot reviews on this product were made within 10 days of purchase before potential issues arise, so won't be accurate. Takealot needs to take some accountability and do follow-up reviews on their products. None of this is okay.
