Takealot - Takeitorleave it attitude.

I recently asked for the following information from Takealot only to be told that whilst my request was perfectly acceptable they weren't able to help.

I want to buy the specified laptop but need some basic drive upgrade information about the unit before placing my order.

This is what I requested from them:

I want to install a DVD caddy in the following Lenovo laptop - so that I can add an SSD drive.

With reference to the following laptop : https://www.takealot.com/lenovo-ideapad-330-ikbr-intel-core-i5-8250u-15-6-notebook-platinum-grey/PLID ********** 1

I need to know - does this laptop come with a DVD drive? If not does it have an empty DVD bay with a cover and a SATA port?

Takelot's inability to answer a very basic question relating to brands they sell is unacceptable. They claimed to have contacted Lenovo SA - but not even the Lenovo Distributors were able to answer this basic question!

I find this hard to believe since the decision to sell the above laptop in SA with or without a DVD drive was made by Lenovo SA before they import it.

Adding an additional hard drive or SSD in a laptop is a standard operation these days. The fact that Takealot's general attitude seems to be Takeitorleave it has changed my attitude towards this company.

That's apart from the fact that most of their prices have significantly increased over the past 6 months when compared to other online competitors.
