Takealot stonewalling on valid returns

I purchased a Dell adapter on 28 July 2020, and picked up on 4 August 2020. On 26 Aug 2020 I requested a return as I changed my mind. I keep getting the same template answer from support saying it's over 30 days, WHEN IT IS NOT!! Does the return department staff have instructions to stonewall clients until the return period runs out?
