Takealot STOLE from me!

Takealot stole from me.

I purchased an ebook a while ago and used to reference it via their reader.

When I bought a new phone, I tried to move the app onto my new phone to be able to continue reading it...Which I was unable to do as Takealot discontinued the app...

When I reached out to them, this was the reply I received.....

Takealot made the decision to no longer sell eBooks from 10 June 2021. If you have download tokens left on eBooks in your digital library, you will still be able to read them or download them from your digital library onto a different device, (find the steps on how to download eBooks on the link below: https://www.takealot.com/help/faq#which-devices-can-i-access-my-ebooks-on. Note that this will only be available until 30 June 2022. Your books will remain in your digital library until June 2022. After this date you will not be able to download books to your eReader, but you will still be able to read eBooks which you already have in your eReader on your device. The Takealot eReader will be removed from the App store on 11 October 2021 and from the Google Play Store on 23 October 2021.

Should you lose your device, accidentally delete the app or update your device after the above-mentioned dates, you will unfortunately not be able to download it to your device again.

So basically I bought a book from Takealot (so they took my money) and is then preventing me to continue reading my book.... That is as good as theft!
