Takealot *****s from customers by not re-issuing coupons used on return of sub-standard products.

I bought a pair of shoes from Takealot, with a combination a coupon and EFT, on 26 December and collected the shoes on the 27th. I wore the shoes for 2 hours on the 28th and the uppers of the shoes were peeling off and the soles also falling apart.

I returned the shoes and Takealot gave me the run around to refund my money, only to refund the EFT portion and not the coupon used. On one of the many calls I made to Takealot customer contact centre I was told that coupon I not refunded, contrary to what their refund T&Cs say in that they re-issue coupons in case of returns.
