Takealot service

After years of good service, Takealot is now deteriorating fast. I ordered in stock Johannesburg items on 23rd July and I received confirmation with a delivery date of by 27th July. The delivery didn't happen and I sent 2 queries to them over the weekend. I received an acknowledgement today, 29th July, as the help centre does not work over the weekend. Apparently, my query has been forwarded to the delivery department and I have heard nothing further from the help desk or the delivery department, and no delivery. The very same thing happened last month with an order I made. This despite the fact that Takealot advertises a same day or following day delivery. It will be no surprise that in future I will be checking out Amazon South Africa.
