Takealot sells R15 pills for R175 market down from R400 on "special"

OMW! This morning my domestic lady and I were chatting about weight gain pills - for my fiance. I ordered Super Apeti Cyproheptadine Comprimés Weight Gain Tablets from Takealot - it was marked down from R400 to R175 for 20 pills. Being a "massive special" I purchased 2 x packs - resulting in R350. I also ordered two Nivea body creams and the only ONE arrived today....

Anyways, this complaint is around pricing and lack of client service. After my domestic told me about these pills, I quickly checked the image online for her... she told me these pills retails for R20.... I found a South African company that sells these pills for R15 for 20 pills!!! I immediately reached out o the social media team via Facebook. Their reply is below - they removed the item from the website. This, after 18 people reviewed the pills and most likely paid THIS price! I received my order and my domestic confirmed that these are the same pills. So I now have 40 x pills in my house that I paid R350 for but actually retails for R30.

Takealot stole my money. There is no way around this one. And I will be going BIG with this news and screenshots. I want a FULL refund and I want my Nivea cream delivered as per my order which I paid for.

oh yeah, and have I mentioned how I've been sitting holding the line for over 30min waiting to chat to a human - so wasting my airtime too.

After this, Takealot is not seeing me again. And I will make sure EVERYONE knows. In such a difficult economic time corporates like this are *****ing their target market. DONE.
