Takealot sells poor quality product with no support

I bought a portable gas stove on Takealot. I tested the product on arrival, and noticed the quality was poor, but it worked. After about a month I tried using it for the first time, but found it to be defective. I returned the product, but was informed that it was outside the return period. Despite having a 12 month warranty, they sent the defective product back to me, and advised I contact the supplier directly, but they couldn't provide me with contact details. They didn't even attempt to assist me and were not helpful at all. I now have a defective product, with a warranty that I am unable to return or get repaired.
