Takealot selling used parts and then refusing to refund

We purchased a pool valve in October and it arrived looking dirty and used. It was in an unbranded box in bubble wrap, so it was not in a manufacturers packaging. Because we were using it on the pool pump, we decided not to complain about it, but fast forward 2 weeks and the pool guy said we bought the wrong part. It would not fit our pool pump, so we bubble wrapped it and requested a refund.

Now Takealot tells us we used the part as it's DIRTY!! Excuse us?? So I send pictures from when it arrived and I OFFER a timestamp, because they already question my intelligence and integrity telling me I am returning something I used..... Why should I have to clean a filthy part when I received it like that? If I was guilty surely I'd be smarter and do that?

They then lo and behold ask me for the timestamp, which I still send to this buffoon of a company. I then receive an email for ALL the information again. Shaina B, Ambre F, Sanele....all USELESS!!!

Reading that people receive used and broken items, and battling for refunds, no responses....this seems to be takealot's core business...to sk@m people???
