Takealot selling ****** cellphones
I do not advise anyone to ever buy any cellphone from Takealot. 😡😡😡
On the 30th of September 2021 I bought a Samsung S20 FE, order nr ***2. On the 23rd of December 2021 Takealot's supplier Audio City apparently contacted MTN to report that they had a bulk stock theft, and they requested MTN to blacklist the impacted IMEI nrs. My phone was blacklisted by MTN due to this.
TAKEALOT SOLD ME A ****** CELLPHONE.
I have been struggling ever since to get my phone unblacklisted. I am unable to use the phone, which I paid a lot of money for. This is causing me financial loss, personal safety hazards, and a lot of inconvenience and stress.
I contacted Takealot yesterday, and the consultant Asanda.B told me to log a return request as my phone is still under warranty. She told me it will be replaced, or I can be refunded. I opted for a replacement. Today, the courier arrived to collect my phone, but without a replacement.
I phone Takealot again and spoke to Nadia Dan. Nadia told me that I had to phone MTN to get the blacklist off, as it really doesn't have anything to do with Takealot........ 😡😡😡 I have never in my life had any connection with MTN. This is your mess-up, and you should sort it out. Nadia also said it will take at least 3 days for my phone to arrive at the warehouse, whereafter an evaluation and a full investigation needs to be done.
I WILL NOT BE WITHOUT A PHONE FOR TWO WEEKS PLUS DUE TO YOUR INCOMPETENCE AND DISHONESTLY. I PAID R11400.00 TO HAVE A CELLPHONE, AND I EXPECT YOU TO EITHER REFUND ME OR REPLACE IT. I am a women staying alone on a farm, and I absolutely will not be placing my life at risk due to a mistake on Takealots side.
I am protected by the Consumer Protection Act, and I will be initiating further legal action if this is not sorted out immediately.
