Takealot Sellers - Guarantees on products not honored. Don't buy from Takealot website!

I have purchased a product from Takealot - Square Tall Basin Mixer With Hose Matte Black - from a seller named Rainbow House. Takealot gives a 6-month warranty but the seller product has a 10-year guarantee on it which states this on the box with no manufacturer details. Takealot lets me know their warranty of 6-months is over and the seller doesn't have the manufacturer details for me to return the tap that I bought. The taps coating is peeling off and started looking ugly to a new renovated bathroom.

I however escalated the matter to the consumer protection act for further investigation and take action against Takealot for allowing the seller to not honor their guarantee as the product stipulates and ensuring product warranties / guarantees are checked before advertising on their website. The seller using Takealot's website platform should go inspection and a check point must be enforced to ensure the quality and service delivery is adequate.
