Takealot ********

I recently bought a product from Takealot at a price which was a real bargain. The wrong item was sent which forced me to log a return as this is the only available option. Clearly a ploy to not honor the sale. After numerous occasions of contacting there support and indicating that they should honor the price and deliver the items as advertised the comms just went quite. The reason given was that there is no stock but on Takealot website the item is still available at the new price.

Am a wrong in assuming that under the consumer protection act Takealot should honor the purchase?

I tried to review the item to give other buyers a headup to stay away and the review was rejected. The review only indicated that what is advertised is not what is delivered..

Here also Takealot is not allowing for transparent reviews of item.

How the once great company has fallen. Cannot wait for Amazon to arrive. You have lost a loyal customer.
