Takealot *******

I purchased a Russell hobbs deluxe pro mixer on the 08/05/2020. Item was advertised for R 799, a mother's day special. My order was supposed to be delivered on the 21/05/2020. I followed up with takealot on the 21st as I had not received the item. I was informed by one of the consultants that they are waiting for the supplier to bring the item to their "DC". The delivery date was then moved to the 9th June, and then the 11th of June. Today, I received an sms telling me that my order was cancelled because they do not have stock. I find this rather strange because this item is now currently on sale for R 1999 and it is in stock?? Please keep in mind that the price of this item has increased thrice from the time I purchased it. From R 799 it was marked up to R 1299, then R 1699 and now R 1999!! What the hell does that say about takealot?? They clearly out to make money on this product and want to rip me off!! As a customer, I paid for something that was advertised and in stock, and currently still in stock, at a very high price. I want this item delivered to me, if it is not, I will be taking this up with the consumer council. Takealot should not be ripping people off, because we pay for what we want, we don't ask it for free. They should actually consider giving me this item for free because of trying to rip me off!! I have screen shots of how the prices just increased and how they suddenly do not have stock of the item @ R 799 but they have stock if you purchase it @ R 1999! The exact same item That's???? That's complete bull****! I am very unhappy and disgusted with this!
