Takealot returns policy pathetic

Purchased a new fridge. From day one the outside of the fridge carcass gets extremely hot. Sold my old fridge and now Takealot want the original packaging and to first access the fridge then decide what to do. So you buy a new fridge Left without a fridge for maybe a week or two then get a second hand fridge hopefully in working condition.
