Takealot return

I bought a Portable Metal Frame Dog Stairs for High Beds Trucks Cars and SUV for LARGE dogs from Takealot. The product was terrible. The metal frame was flimsy and very thin. The canvas on the step was not solid and very poor quality. The step size was not suitable for a large, or even medium, sized dog. There was no way my large dogs could use it. I requested a return and Takealot picked up the item. Takealot rejected my return due to an alleged scratch on the metal. I requested photographic evidence of the alleged scratches and have no reply. To add insult to injury Takealot then keeps the item! So not only do they not refund you but they also keep the item you paid for. Is that not *****?
