Takealot refusing to return faulty product purchase

I purchased a product from Takealot. returned it the same day as it is not working like how it should. How can i purchase a product that does not work like how it should. Takealot is refusing to give me a refund. Over the years i have given them alot of support and this is how you treat your customers
